Dear Blog,
Not much to say, just "Hello" to anyone who might be reading this. I've applied for, and passed the test for, becoming a Census taker for the 2010 Census. I need the money. It's part time, and for a short duration, maybe 2 months or so. Should find out something in March, whether they are interested in hiring me or not. I'm hoping to pay a little on some bills, put away a little in savings, since we have a hard time getting from one payday to the next, so it helps to have a little cushion, and we don't right now. Everyone I know is struggling financially. It's scary!!
My son Michael had hernia surgery today. He's pretty sore, and just a little goofy from the pain meds, which also make him a little sick. Hope ya get better quickly, son.
Got my new driver's license a couple of days ago. Sure a lot easier here in Vernal than what I've been reading about in Salt Lake! Just walked right in, filled out the paper work, got my picture taken, looked at the eye test thingy, and that was it. Oh...and paid $25. Should get my new one in the mail in a few weeks.
Still have a great job, and since I have to work tomorrow (actually, today since it's after 1 am.) I guess I'd better get to bed so I can get to work on time.
Sure would love to hear from anyone who might read this rambling entry! Have a nice day!
You have step great grandchildren? Aye, finance is scary. Just read a term on Yahoo news, referring to the "Great Recession." Hope we can all come out of it somehow. I don't know anyone close to me who is doing very well. I also hope we don't emerge from it a completely socialist country, though we're well on our way.
ReplyDeleteYup. Both Margaret and Amy have step grandchildren, so therefore, I have step great grandchildren. Amazing, eh?
ReplyDeleteHi mom, Nobody told me Mike was going for surgery!!!! Guess thats what I get for living in the middle of nowhere. Good luck with the cencus thingy, I know what you mean, we could all use a little extra!!!!
